    Thrive:  Your Guide to Prosperity in the 2020s

    Presented by Bruce Bolger, Founder of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance at TheEEA.org, and Paul Kiewiet MAS+, Executive Director of MiPPA, and founder of Brandkiwi, a full-service promotion agency that expanded into incentives and then promotional products.

    This webinar, “Thrive:  Your Guide to Prosperity in the 2020s,” is for promotional professionals who wish to expand their businesses beyond selling promotional products to include other engagement solutions, including: brand gifting, surprise and delight technologies, and incentive, recognition, event, and other engagement services that can help clients achieve their business goals.

    The program features Bruce Bolger, the Founder of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance, a leader in education on all aspects of engagement, with guest panelist Paul Kiewiet MAS+,  Executive Director of MiPPA who will be sharing the insights from his new book, “Summit: Reaching the Peak of Your Potential.” He will share his recommendations for distributors based on his 30 years in business as owner of a promotion and incentive company that became a prominent user of promotional products.

    The opportunity: Promotional products professionals are exiting the pandemic facing a new world of both challenges and opportunity. Every promotional product is always a part of a broader engagement strategy—this webinar will show your members how to identify more of the different engagement services your customers might possibly need.

     This virtual webinar, sponsored by the Brand Media Coalition and the Enterprise Engagement Alliance, will explain how to thrive by leveraging promotional professionals’ problem-solving and relationship- building skills to add value to their relationships in human resources, marketing, sales, fund-raising, safety, recognition, government, education, and more.

    Attendees will learn how, with almost no investment, they can open up new doors of opportunity, and take advantage of free resources they can access to grow their businesses.

    Biographies

    Bruce Bolger is President of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance at TheEEA.org, an outreach and education organization founded in 2001 focusing on the development of a formal field to help organizations achieve results through the proactive involvement of all stakeholders. EEA is publisher of ESM (Engagement Strategies Media) at EnterpriseEngagement.org, which provides ongoing coverage of this new field, and of RRN at RewardsRecognitionNetwork.com, which focuses on all types of rewards used in incentive, recognition, loyalty and business gift programs.

    In the 1990s, working with both the Promotional Products Association and Advertising Specialty Institute, Bolger created education programs for distributors on how to sell incentive programs, helping both organizations to create a new category for distributors, of whom about 7% sell incentive programs, according to the latest PPA services.

    Bolger is also founder of the International Center for Enterprise Engagement at TheICEE.org, which provides certifications for ISO 30414 Human Capital Reporting and ISO 10018 People Engagement standards.

    Bolger has over 25 years of management experience in rewards, recognition, and engagement. He was a co-founder of the Forum for People Performance Management and Measurement, a not-for-profit research organization affiliated with Integrated Marketing Communications department in the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University that was dedicated to conducting research in the area of business motivation and engagement. He is a frequent speaker on topics related to Stakeholder Capitalism and Enterprise Engagement and provides consulting on implementation to corporate practitioners and engagement solution providers.

    Bolger is author of “Enterprise Engagement for CE0s: The Little Blue Book for People-Centric Capitalists” and co-author of “Enterprise Engagement: The Roadmap.”

    Paul Kiewiet MAS+ is an industry, speaker, writer, consultant and coach and the author of "Summit: Reaching the Peak of Your Potential” on how to achieve results as a promotional professional. He is currently the Executive Director of MiPPA. He has served on the PPAI Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Board of PPAI in 2007-2008. He was inducted into the PPAI Hall of Fame in 2015. Paul has had a long career in the promotional industry building a multimillion dollar distributorship and building brands for some of America’s biggest brands.

    Promotional Products Work! Day

    PPAI has designated October 20, 2021, as Promotional Products Work! Day. The celebration will reflect the original program’s concept of celebrating the power of promotional products but on a single day instead of over a full week. Throughout the day, PPAI, together with its members and other industry professionals, will actively recognize and promote the value, impact and effectiveness of promotional products — the most memorable form of advertising.

    This transition will allow the entire industry to focus its efforts on the one-day event and make a more significant impact. Each opportunity is intended to thank customers; spread awareness of the important role promotional products professionals play in all aspects of advertising, marketing, and business; and promote the power of promotional products.

    Different organizations will celebrate in different ways, but the priority is for all industry businesses to engage with their customers and local community.

    Here are some simple ideas to start planning:

    1.  Share Promotional Products Work! ads and statistics throughout the day on social

         channels and in print.

    2.  Stage an in-person or virtual open house, a meet-and-greet, company tour or

         lunch-and-learn.

    3.  Host a Customer Appreciation Day. Bonus: share it online.

    4.  Personalize products as thank-you gifts.

    5.  Thank customers on social media.

    6.  Conduct a live stream on Facebook or Instagram and give a tour of your facility.

         Make sure to thank customers.

    7.  Partner with other industry professionals and lead a discussion on Twitter spaces.

    8.  Show support for a local charity — donate time, products or both.

    Newly launched Promotional Supplier Exchange - PSX - announces first Supplier-centric event.

    The newly launched Promotional Supplier Exchange - or PSX - is envisioned as an informational forum and exchange, where Supplier participants connect with and learn from experts and industry peers - about current challenges, discuss options & opportunities, share insights, perspectives, best practices, and generate actionable ideas.

    Current plans include a series of Supplier-focused virtual presentations on topics curated by the group - and will eventually include in-person events at key industry gatherings.

    This first virtual presentation will feature former ASI Power Summit keynote speaker, cyber security expert and best selling author, Christian Espinosa. 

    Christian Espinosa is the Founder and former CEO of Alpine Security, a cybersecurity engineer, certified high-performance coach, professor, and lover of heavy metal music and spicy food. He’s also an Air Force veteran and Ironman triathlete. He used to value being the “smartest person in the room,” only to realize that his greatest contribution to the fight against cybercrime is his ability to bring awareness to the issue through effective communication.
